Kate Hazell

Specialising in editorial and working across magazines, advertising, children’s books and comics, Kate creates lively and engaging illustrations which are original and full of character. Her work can be applied to fun and light-hearted projects as well as more conceptual, thoughtful briefs. Clients include Radio Times, BBC History magazine, Prospect magazine, BBC Wildlife magazine and Bulletin.

Inspired by pre-separation techniques, Kate draws everything by hand with pen and ink, using a mixture of mediums for colour before finishing with a digital tweak. She also makes original lino prints, Bristol inspired digital prints and postcards, cards, zines and tea towels. Guilty of a pun or two….
