Emily Krainc

Emily Krainc is an abstract expressionist painter. Having graduated from Bath Spa University in 2010 she has continued painting and exhibiting ever since, participating in a residency, art charity projects, and both organised and curated multiple group shows during her time living in Bristol.

Her work is often inspired by poetry and also draws from her unconscious mind. Her thoughts, dreams and emotions play a large part in her creative process.

The titles of her work are most commonly taken from their source material, breathing new meaning and connection to them. Emily’s work has roots in psychology, much like the Rorschach test – every viewer’s interpretation of the paintings is correct and they seek to help us better understand ourselves.
