Martin Webb
Originally form North Devon, I was introduced to pottery by my father who was a landscape painter and teacher. After an early start in pottery, I studied Graphic Design at Cardiff (UWIC), then returned to ceramics after I graduated in 2000.
My work at BV Studio is currently focused on developing my own stoneware glazes and running workshops in medieval inlaid terracotta tiles and a slip decoration technique called Mocha Diffusion.
For the last fifteen years I’ve worked for the Brandon Trust teaching sessions for adults with learning disabilities. This is at Banwell Pottery, a social enterprise based in North Somerset. This work gives people with special needs a place to be creative and develop their own personal work using a wide range of ceramics techniques.
